Terms of Service

Who we are
Mail Day Co. is a holiday card service operating from Texas, United States. When you place an order you agree to these terms.
We last updated them on September 21, 2026.
What we do
You upload one photo or pick one of our designs. We turn it into an illustrated card, print it on heavy cover stock and mail it by USPS First Class to the addresses you give us.
The illustration is made by an AI model. It is a stylised painting, not a retouched photograph, so it will not be an exact likeness. That is the product, and you see the finished card before you pay.
Who can order
You need to be at least 18, and we only mail to addresses in the United States.
Your photo and your words
Your photo stays yours. By uploading it you give us permission to use it for one thing only, which is making and mailing your cards.
You confirm that the photo is yours to use and that the people in it are happy to be on a card. Please do not upload a photo of someone who would not want it mailed to strangers.
We do not use your photo to train models, and we do not use it in our own marketing. The samples on our site are synthetic.
What you may not send
These cards arrive unannounced at real homes, and the person opening the envelope did not ask for it. So there are limits.
Do not use Mail Day Co. to threaten, harass, intimidate or frighten anyone. Do not send hateful content aimed at a person or a group. Do not send sexual content, or anything involving a child that a parent would not want mailed. Do not impersonate someone else, and do not mail to an address you have been asked to stop contacting.
We can refuse or stop any order, before or after payment, if we believe it breaks this section or for any other reason. If we stop an order before it prints, we refund it in full.
We keep a record of every order, including the message, the addresses and the payment. If law enforcement asks for it in a valid legal request, we will give it to them, and we will not tell you first if we are not allowed to.
You are the sender
We print and mail what you ask us to. The photo, the message and the list of addresses are yours, and so is the decision to send them. You are the sender of these cards and you are responsible for them.
If someone brings a claim against us because of what you sent, who you sent it to, or your right to use the photo, you agree to cover what it costs us to deal with it, including reasonable legal fees. That covers claims about harassment, threats, hateful content, defamation, privacy and copyright.
This does not cover anything we get wrong ourselves. If the fault is ours, it is ours.
Previews
You get three free previews per visit. They carry a watermark. We ask for your email before the first one because every preview costs us real money to make, and because we need a way to send you a receipt later.
Prices and tax
Price per card depends on how many you order: 1 to 9 $5.49, 10 to 24 $4.49, 25 to 49 $3.99, 50 to 99 $3.49, 100 or more $2.99. Printing, postage and delivery are included.
Sales tax is calculated at checkout and added to the total. Prices are in US dollars.
Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us, and we never see or store them.
Your order is final when you pay
Paying sends your card straight to print. There is no approval step afterwards, no edit and no cancellation, because there is no way to recall a card once it is printed.
This is why the preview is the finished card. What you approve is what gets mailed.
Addresses are yours to get right
We print each address exactly as it is given to us. If it is wrong, the card is mailed to the wrong place or thrown away by USPS. We cannot reprint it and we cannot refund it.
Cards do not carry a return address, so a card that cannot be delivered is destroyed rather than returned. Please check the addresses before you pay.
If you use the sharing link, it stays open for 3 days or until your order deadline, whichever comes first. We print each card as its address arrives. If fewer addresses arrive than the number of cards you bought, the extra cards are not printed and not refunded.
Delivery
Order by December 8 and your cards arrive before Christmas. If they do not, we refund that order in full. We keep taking orders until December 17, but for those we cannot promise a Christmas arrival.
That guarantee covers the part we control: printing on time, addressing correctly and handing the cards to USPS in time. It does not cover a delay that nobody controls, such as a storm or another disruption that stops the mail moving for days. In that case your cards have been printed and the postage has been paid, and we cannot get that back either. We will tell you what happened and what we know about where your cards are.
A refund is the whole of what we owe you for a late card. Once a card is with USPS, the delivery itself is in their hands.
Refunds
We refund in full if you ordered by December 8 and your cards do not arrive before Christmas, unless the delay was one nobody controls as described above. We also refund in full if we get something wrong: a printing fault, the wrong card, or a card we failed to mail.
We do not refund for a wrong address, for addresses that never arrived through the sharing link, or because you changed your mind after paying.
Your photo is deleted after 30 days
We delete the photo you uploaded 30 days after your order, and you can delete it sooner from your order page.
We keep the order itself: the message, the addresses, the email and the payment record. We need those for tax, for support and for the record described above.
Email from us
We send receipts, a reminder before your address link closes, and delivery updates for orders you place. Those are part of the service and cannot be turned off while your order is open.
If we ever send anything else, it will carry an unsubscribe link and one click will be enough.
If something goes wrong
We do our best, but we cannot promise the site is always available or free of faults.
The card you get is the card you approved. Because the illustration is made by a model rather than drawn to order, we cannot promise it will match a particular idea you had in mind, which is why the preview comes before the payment.
If we are liable to you for anything, our total liability for an order is limited to what you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or knock on losses, such as the cost of buying cards elsewhere. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. The date at the top tells you when we last did. Changes do not apply to an order you already paid for.
